I have adapted a couple of the dispatches from this blog, but two are totally new and the others are slightly different than what has appeared here. Slate is also running several of my photos. In addition, I have provided a news update on events in Cote d'Ivoire since I left the country.

The "Who is this person?" link at the top makes Slate appear a little defensive -- have they had a lot of journalistic impostors submitting dispatches? Well, at least they didn't label it "Who the hell does this guy think he is?"
